Applying for Secondary School
Applications for High School must be completed by Tuesday 31st October 2023
The admissions portal will open on Tuesday 12th September. You can find more information on SCC Admissions website from this date and how to apply.
Should you need any help with your application please contact Mrs Adams, Attendance/Admissions Officer.
Start of the day - All year 6 children are to enter from 8.40am through the Year 6 entrance near the main entrance. Parents are not permitted in the school building, should you need to chat to your child's teacher please make an appointment at the school office.
End of the day - Year 6 children wait outside the Year 6 entrance to be collected from 3.15pm. If you would like your child to walk home, please visit the main office to complete an authorisation form for your child to walk home alone.

Uniform - Full uniform must be worn. On PE days, children can attend in their PE uniform. For more guidance please visit our Uniform page
SATS - Content to follow
Reading and writing - We will be looking at books such as "Pig heart boy", "Roof toppers" and "How to live forever". In writing children will be learning more about Shakespeare, discursive writing and speeches amongst other things.
Maths - Children will be learning place value, addition and subtraction,fractions, converting units in measurement as well as multiplication and division.
Science - Children will be looking at electricity, mammals and the circulatory system.
ICT - We will be navigating through online safety, programming and networks.
RE - In Religious education children will be discovering more about Christianity and Islam.
Art/D&T - We will be exploring 2D and 3D artwork and colour as well as looking at textiles.
Geography - The classes will be looking at earthquakes, mountains and volcanoes.
History - We will be looking at World War II.
Music - The children will be looking at advance rhythms and songs from World War II.
MFL - Children will be learning French, focusing on sports and champions.
PSHE - All the children will be looking at "being me" as well as celebrating differences.
PE - Children will be enjoying netball and handball, gymnastics, dance and football.
