School Meals
School meals cost £2.65 per meal, this is to be paid for online in advance via Schoolgrid.
All children in reception and years 1 & 2 get Universal Free School Meals.
From Year 3, your child may be eligible for Free School Meals depending on the parents/carers circumstances.
From the 2026/2027 school year, there will be two types of free school meals (FSM) eligibility:
Targeted FSM - this continues to be based on the current eligibility threshold. It applies to pupils in households receiving Universal Credit with annual household earnings of £7,400 or less. Pupils in this group will attract Pupil Premium funding for their school and will qualify for additional support, such as the Holiday and Activities Food Programme.
Expanded FSM - This is a new category for pupils whose households receive Universal Credit but do not meet the criteria for Targeted FSM. Pupils in this group will be eligible for free school meals only.
· If you receive Universal Credit and meet the income threshold of £7,400 per year,(targeted FSM) you can apply now and we will inform you if you are eligible.
· If you receive Universal Credit but do not meet the income threshold (extended FSM) please apply via the Suffolk County Council website

Food allergies and intolerances
If your child requires a medical diet due to a food allergy, food intolerance or a medical condition that requires an adapted menu (e.g. carbohydrate count for Type 1 Diabetes), please talk to Ms Walters in the school office to request a medical diet form.
