Year 5 Time & Tide Trip
For their topic this term, Year 5 are learning about Ancient Greece. As part of our work, we will be visiting Time and Tide Museum on Wednesday 30th September 2026. The children will have an opportunity to look at some artefacts and take part in a variety of exciting workshops. This will be a great opportunity to develop their interest and understanding of history in a practical way.
We will be travelling by coach and will be leaving school at 9:20am, so children must arrive at school at the normal time of 8.35am. Please ensure that children have taken travel sickness medication and have inhalers if needed. If your child requires travel sickness medication for the return trip, please bring it to the office in its original packaging by Friday 25th September, you will be required to complete a medical form.
Children will need to bring a packed lunch unless they are entitled to a free school dinner, in which case they will be provided with a packed lunch. If any children entitled to a free school meal do not require a school packed lunch, please let us know via the MCAS App. Children will need a drink bottle but no fizzy drinks please. No spending money is required. The children will also need to wear full school uniform: we should arrive back at school before 3.15pm.
The total cost of the visit is £15 per child, but the school will be subsidising this reducing the cost to only £10 per pupil. Please note if insufficient funds are received the school reserves the right to cancel the trip.
